Boring life as everyone else does. But what about actually doing the things that you like to do and enjoying your life, making the most out of it? I didn’t hear about this too often.
At that time I was not sure about the pathway that I wanted to follow, I was not sure about what I liked the most, but I knew that I didn’t want to be like everyone else. I started to try new things, I spent most of my time in front of my computer learning new things everyday. I still remember that around the 8th grade I was passionate about the minimalist lifestyle so at one point I was dreaming about developing my own modern minimalist business that will help me to live the life that I wanted. It was not the case, I grew up and my dreams changed together with the years that passed, but my dream of living a different life remained the same.
During high-school I started to create websites because I liked to write. When building my first website, I found out that I needed a webdesign logo to make it look nice and as I was broke at that time, I couldn’t afford to pay a professional to create it so I had to learn to do it by myself. The next day, my main focus was to learn design. I spent the most of my time on it, it took a while but I did create my first logo and even if it was not the greatest, I was still proud of it.
This is how I discovered my new passion and I decided to stick with it for a while to see how it will go. Soon I wanted to become a logo designer pro and I started to learn even more. It didn’t take much until the first person came to me after seeing one of my logos and asked if I could do one for him as well, so I did it and this is how I made the first money. It was not much, of course, but it motivated me to keep going. It showed me that if a person is willing to pay me for it, then more people will do it as well.
From that point all I knew is that I had to keep going. The high-school years passed and by the end of it I was already making more money than both of my parents. I successfully graduated but I decided that I’m not going to college. I moved out of town by myself and sometimes I worked even 12 hours a day on my passion which turned into a business. At the beginning I had no idea about what I was doing, but slowly and steadily I learned new things, I found out how to manage it, what to do with my money and how to live the life that I wanted.
